The Reports page in Protege X provides access to event report functionality. The default system report is the All Events report, which displays all available events, until filters are applied to limit which events are included. The following filters are available in the default report.
- Serial Number Filter
- Controller Name Filter
- Description Filter
- Time Filter
Protege X reports, including the default report and filtering options, can be customized by operators with the necessary access permissions, so filters in the interface may appear differently to those listed above.
The Serial Number and Controller Name filters provides the power to refine your search to events associated with selected controllers.
The Description filter allows you to search using event descriptions to identify specific events, record types, locations and other descriptive groupings.
By combining this with the Time filter you can view every instance of the selected events within a specified timeframe. Alternatively, use the time filter on its own to see all events that were generated within the selected period.
See the Report Filters page for more information. See the Report Filtering Examples page for common filtering scenarios.
- Expand the desired filter card to define its filter options.
- Many filters have a Basic filtering option for simple selections, and Advanced filtering options for more complex event filtering. Click the dropdown menu within each filter to change the Filter type selection if available.
- Set the filter parameters to define the events you want displayed. The available configuration options will be dependent on the filter and the selected filter type.
- You must click Apply filter after any change to your filter selections before the events list will be updated with the results of the new criteria.
Use the Clear filter (eraser icon) option to easily clear all current selections applied to a filter.
Filter selections will persist until removed or changed. If you apply, for example, a basic filter selection and then make an advanced filter selection it will be applied to the already filtered basic list. The basic filter would need to be removed or cleared first to have the advanced filter applied to an unfiltered list.
